Macmillan Welfare Rights

Description

We work with Macmillan Cancer Support Welfare Rights Service to provide free advice, information and representation on social security / housing benefits, tax credits and grants available to those affected by cancer in County Durham. We work independently from the Department for Work and Pensions. We have specialist advisers who cover County Durham and provide advice from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.00pm.

Our officers provide an outreach service throughout the county and may offer home visits to those affected by cancer, if considered necessary.

To speak to someone please contact our Macmillan Welfare Rights Team.

We also carry out presentations to groups interested in finding out more about the service.
