Description

We are a small independent mental health charity based in Derwentside, ran by local people for local people. We provide a confidential, high quality service offering practical and emotional support to people aged 18 to 65+ years in a safe, caring, non-judgmental and supportive environment.
If you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, stress or low mood due to emotional, physical or mental ill health and are finding it difficult to cope, get in touch.
You can refer yourself for an assessment for any of our services at any time.  We also welcome referrals from community groups, voluntary and statutory organisations, businesses and other agencies.
Services include:

  • one to one talking therapies
  • holistic therapies
  • wellbeing courses
  • social groups
  • Information & advice service
  • vocational/recreational groups

There is a small charge for all our services, please ask a member of staff about this. Derwentside Mind reserves the right to change and develop services at any time.

Access to services is based on an assessment and Derwentside Mind reserves the right to refuse access if deemed inappropriate
