Journey Enterprises (formally known as Daybreak Centres)

Description

We are a leading day service provider, working in partnership with service users, families and carers across the North East.  We support people with learning disabilities and complex needs to lead independent, socially inclusive, happy, healthy lives. We offer varied and flexible life skills training, supported volunteering and work opportunities, sport, leisure and cultural activities and accredited and non accredited courses, both in-house and in the community.

We have three hubs:

  • Hexham - our training bakery
  • Coundon - our horticultural market garden/community cafe
  • Montagu - our dance and drama centre

All of our hubs have a fantastic array of activities. Each one also provides an extensive independent living skills programme which is tailored to meet your needs and includes:

  • healthy living
  • cooking
  • travel training
  • relationships
  • employment

Our staff are highly skilled, motivated and dedicated to giving you the best quality service. We listen to you, find out what is important to you and help you to make decisions about your life. Working together with you, your family and carers we can find a way to turn your ideas and dreams into reality.

We provide transport to each of our hubs using our own minibus for those who cannot access our centres independently. A free “taster” day can be arranged so you can come along, meet us and see what we have to offer. Visit our website for details or call the hub you are interested in on the number listed.
