We can help if you have physical/learning difficulties and have been assessed as needing day care, or you feel that your day care could be better.

We want to make sure that you can access the best quality services available. We are dedicated to supporting you to lead a fulfilling and rewarding life as an active citizen in your local community.

Our experienced staff create an environment that allows you to achieve your true potential in a relaxing and enjoyable manner.

We have a holiday lodge situated at Haggerston Castle in Northumberland which is available for people with physical/learning disabilities, their carers and families to enjoy a relaxing short breaks. Please contact us for holiday lodge rates. We also provide a personal assistance service to help promote independence for people with physical/learning difficulties where our friendly staff are available to support you to carry out those activities you want to do but always found it difficult because of time restraints.

Usually clients are assessed by Social Services as requiring Day Services and are financed via a Personal Budget or Direct Payments. Clients can also access our services privately. We only cater for individuals with a physical and/or learning disabilities and clients with sensory impairments. Clients must be 18+. We do not have an upper age limit.

Our Day Services which are carried out at our centre in Cork Street, Hendon, Sunderland.
Lunches can be purchased. Refreshments are available and transport can be arranged to and from the centre on an assessed need.

Accreditation Information

This service has been accredited by Durham County Council Commissioning Team. In order to gain accreditation, service providers have met standards set by Durham County Council in areas including insurance, health and safety and equality and diversity. Accredited services can be monitored by the County Council..
